Buddha Mar Gaya is a 2017 Indian Hindi romantic thriller film directed by Jagat Narula. It is the sequel to the 2016 movie Buddha in a Traffic Jam, which was also directed by Narula. The real-life incarnation of Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, famously appeared in the world when he left his palace walls to explore travelling. The story revolves around Dharma who falls in love with Renu after being told that she holds the key to save his family from ruin and protect their property from being seized by their rivals whose own attempts have failed. Dharma's quest takes him across different parts of India telling many stories about romance and heartbreak along the way before he finally comes back home to take over his kingdom. The promotional campaign of the film began in July 2017, with an original song composed by Shabbir Ahmed and written by Atif Aslam. The first official poster was released on 28 August 2017. The movie's trailer was released on 30 October 2017. The first share of the first song of the film, "Yeh Kahena Hai", was released on 11 January 2018 through Twitter, on 16 February 2018 through Zee Music Official Youtube Channel and on 15 March 2018 through Zee Music Label's official Youtube Channel. Dharma (Abhi Singh) returns to his kingdom after two years of painful separation after his family is robbed of their wealth and property by enemies who killed his father (Rahul Kumar). He was separated from his wife Renu during that time, while she is still in a coma. He realises that his wife can be saved from death by means of a special herb found in the her family's forest, but he soon discovers that his beloved has been sold to a man from a rival country. His journey to find her leads him to many other women along the way, all of whom have non-physical connections to Renu. In order to save her life and throne, he must return home and reclaim both powers for his family, thus solving the conflict that has divided them for generations.
